Reids Restaurant has a long standing reputation for quality dining, outstanding service and excellent value. Our restaurant offers a superb blend of food from around the world and there is always something on our menu to suit all tastes and make your mouth water. Our Head Chef and his team use only the best, fresh ingredients and all products are sourced from high quality, reputable suppliers.

The restaurant has a warm feel, complimented by soft lighting and music to suit every occasion. It is ideal for intimate meals, celebrations or larger party bookings.

Private Dining in the Gallery

Reids Gallery is a newly refurbished, private dining room catering for up to 22 people. The room boasts its own bar and toilet facilities and overlooks Reids Bar with a private balcony area. Glass bi-folding doors ensure the room is completely private for you to enjoy your dining experience in a private environment, after which the doors can be opened up to enjoy the music from Reids Bar if you so wish.

Our Food

REIDS is all about great tasting, fresh and locally sourced food.

We believe in keeping things local. We like to use food that’s in season when it’s at its very best. Most of our menu is sourced from Essex and East Anglia, whereas the rest will be delivered daily from London’s historic markets including Billingsgate for the seafood, Smithfield’s for meat and poultry and any fruit and vegetables that we can’t find in Essex, will come direct from Covent Garden and Spitalfields.

Our aim is to keep the flavour of our food as British as possible, without restricting creativity. Modern twists on classic dishes and gastro pub favourites with restaurant flair, can often be found on our menus. Our market menu changes regularly, so we can use the freshest and tastiest of local ingredients to create the very best dishes.

Locally Sourced Food

We source all the food we can from local farms and suppliers, so we know what we are buying, where it comes from and who grew it, and we only take the best.

28-Day-Aged Beef

For the best beef, we don’t need to travel far – Essex and East Anglia produce some of the best beef in the world. We know the suppliers, so we know that the animals are treated well and fed well. This is reflected in the quality of the meat.

The best beef is beef that has been well reared and well treated, but everyone would agree, that if you want to really enjoy good meat, it must be well hung. Hanging the meat for 28 days develops flavour and the perfect texture and adds to your delight.

Fresh Vegetables

Do you really want a lettuce that has got more air-miles than you? We don’t think so. We source as much of our produce from neighbouring farms as possible, so that we can follow it from field to plate. This means that you will find seasonal changes in our vegetables and a taste that you just wouldn’t get from an air-freighted, plastic-wrapped monstrosity.

Fresh Seafood

Daily deliveries ensure that our seafood is straight from the boat and onto your plate with our team of Chefs adding a few essential touches to an already impressive product. Simplicity is key when working with fresh fish and our Head Chef – Tadd, is a firm believer in letting the product speak for itself.
